After receiving and considering a copy of our 2019 Competition Rules (together with our insurance details provided back in October 2018), the Office of Sport and Recreation Services today provided written confirmation that it will continue to recognise Karting (New South Wales) Inc under the Motor Vehicle Sports (Public Safety) Act 1985 in relation to the sport of karting.

They also confirmed that Track Licenses issued by the Office of Sport to all tracks in NSW currently remain in place un-amended.

KNSW confirms that to race under its competition rules, a formerly “KA issued ‘Circuit Licence’” is not required.

The Office of Sport also confirmed that it is reviewing its “recognised sanctioning body” policy criteria in New South Wales. Full details in relation to the Office of Sport’s position will be published on their website in the coming days.
